Florencio Amarilla Lacasa ( born January 3, 1935 in Coronel Bogado; † August 25, 2012 in Vélez Rubio, Spain ) was a Paraguayan football player and actor.

Life

Amarilla started his athletic career as a soccer striker in his home country at the Club Nacional. As a participant in the Football World Cup 1958 only 1.69 m wide Amarilla was not only a two-goal on - already in the qualifying matches he had met three times into the goal - and was awarded a contract with Spanish side Real Oviedo. In 1961 he moved to FC Elche, where he, however, only two times was used. Five years later he unlaced his shoes again: In the 1967/68 season he played for CD Almería.

After his football career he lived in the area around Almeria, where film producers him small roles in the films shot there, especially spaghetti westerns, procured, in which he portrayed Mexicans or Native American characters. From the mid- 1970s he also served as a coach of several teams in the region. A severe disease and a heart attack prevented him from continuing to perform his coach office; 27 December 2009, he was honored for his commitment at the Estadio Juan Rojas in Almería.
