Florentin Petre

Florentin Petre ( born January 15, 1976 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian football player.

Club career

Petre joined in youth the capital club Dinamo Bucharest and went through the local youth teams, until it was first used on 15 October 1994 as a 18- year-old in the first team in Divizia A and also right after only three minutes of the game with his first goal introduced. In the second half of the season, the relegation UTA Arad borrowed from the right wing, but despite its three gates you stood at the end of the season relegated to last place and Petre returned to Dinamo.

In the following years he was a regular player of the Bucharest and always played in the front half of the table. In 1999, the team's runner-up and 2000 they took not only the 15th league title history, but also the National Cup. Nevertheless, the year was an extremely unpleasant for Petre, because he fell ill with hepatitis C and spent most of the next two seasons out of action. His return in 2002 he celebrated with a second championship.

In the years up to 2006, the club was on the right track. From 2003 to 2005, Dinamo secured three times in a row, Cupa României ( National Cup ). In 2004 it became second Double with the national championship Petre.

After he had played 12 years in the highest Romanian class, Petre decided at age 31 to move abroad. In April 2006, he signed a three-year contract from 1 July 2006 the Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia and record champions. There he played a more offensive role than in Bucharest for the first time and was able to show in each case a two-digit goal tally in the following two seasons. According to the vice championship in 2008 and 2007, he was in Bulgaria with Sofia national champion. In summer 2008, he joined the Chechen capital to the Russian first division club Terek Grozny. In January 2010, Petre returned to CSKA Sofia and signed a contract until June 2011.

After six months he returned to his Romanian homeland and joined the team FC Victoria Brăneşti. At the end of the 2010/11 season he had to play with his club the passage into the League II. He was only ten missions. Then he ended his active career.

National

After he had established itself over three years in Divizia A, In 1998, at age 21 for Florentin Petre and the appointment to the Romanian national football team. On August 19, 1998 he had his first appearance in an away game against Norway. Until 2000, he was 21 times used and participated with his country at the European Championships, where he retired with the team in the quarterfinals.

After him his illness threw back and it took until 2004 that he could slip into the national team again. Since then, he was regularly in use. In the World Cup qualifiers he played nine times and Romania missed out on third his group almost to the World Cup 2006 in Germany. In the following European Championship qualifiers, which were abolished as group winners ahead of the Netherlands, he was back in action eight times and was admitted to the EM- studded Romania for the 2008 European football championships in Austria and Switzerland. In the last preparation match before the tournament, 31 May 2008 against Montenegro, he celebrated his 50th international appearance. Overall, Petre brought it to 2009 to 53 matches in which he scored 6 goals.

Others

In 2009, Petre bought by a Bulgarian friend a Renault Clio Super 1600, with whom he successfully participated in the Bulgarian Rally Championship from 2010.
