Florian Carvalho ( born March 9, 1989 in Fontainebleau ) is a French athlete who specializes in the 1,500 -meter run.

Sports career

Carvalho made ​​at junior level, especially in the Cross Country attention to itself. In the European Cross Country Championships, he was second in 2007 and won in 2008 in the junior race. In the age group under 23, he finished fourth in 2009 and 2010, the second and first place in 2011.

At the European Indoor Championships in Paris in 2011 he reached the eighth place in the 3000 -meter run. In the same year he was U23 European Champion in the 1500 meter race in Ostrava.

His international breakthrough came Carvalho by winning the silver medal in the 1500 meter race at the Europe Championships 2012 in Helsinki. At the Olympic Games in London, however, he could not qualify for the final itself. In 2013 he was fifth over 3000 meters at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg and eleventh over 1500 m at the World Championships in Moscow.

Carvalho is a three time French Champion in the 1500 meter run ( 2011, 2012, 2013).
