Florian Gosch

Florian Gosch ( born August 16, 1980 in Woerschach, Austria ) is an Austrian volleyball and beach volleyball player.

Career

Gosch was as indoor volleyball junior champion and completed some internationals.

In 2002, he began with the beach volleyball and formed a duo with Bernhard Strauss. Together with Nik Berger, he participated as a replacement for the injured Clemens Doppler part in the 2004 Olympic Games, finishing in 17th place. With the victory in Cagliari Gosch / Strauss managed the first World Tour victory for Austria. Then moved Gosch partner and came together with Alexander Horst. The duo was coached by Harald Dobeiner 2007 respectively ninth at the World Championships in Gstaad and the European Championships in Valencia, reaching five Top 10 finishes in FIVB tournaments. 2008 Gosch / Horst qualified for the Beijing Olympics and reached the quarterfinals there.
