Floribert of Liège

Flori Bert I. (French Floribert de Liège; † about 746 ) was from 727 until his death bishop of Liege.

Flori Bert was the son of Hubert, Bishop of Liege. He followed his father as bishop 727. At the beginning of his episcopate, 728, the sisters Harlinde and Erlinde founded the monastery Alteneik. Floribert enlarged the number of canons at St. Lambert 's Cathedral from 20 to 30 on November 3, 743 were in the presence of Carloman the bones of St. Hubert of Liege collected. Floribert died on April 25, 746 and was buried in the St. Lambert 's Cathedral. The Catholic Church venerates him as a saint. His feast day is the 25th (27th) April, in the diocese of Liege on November 1.
