Florida group

The Grupo Florida (Spanish: Florida group) was a literary association in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In the 1920s avant-garde writer included under the motto " L' art pour l'art " together. They derived their name from one of the most modern street of Buenos Aires, Calle Florida, from. Mouthpiece of their union and also platform first publications were the magazines Proa and Martín Fierro. By the latter they were initially sometimes called Grupo Martín Fierro ( Martínfierristas ). This name refers to the Argentine gaucho Martín Fierro El national epic by José Hernández.
