Florida State Road 874

The Florida State Road 874 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Florida, which is locally expanded as Don Shula Expressway known and highway-like. It leads south-west of Miami on a length of just over 11 miles from Richmond Heights Glenvar Heights and after connecting the Palmetto Expressway ( SR 826 ) to the Homestead Extension of Florida 's Turnpike (SR 821 ). The road is operated by the Miami -Dade Expressway Authority.

Route

The SR 874 begins in Richmond Heights and branches off to the north-east of the Homestead Extension from. Then it performs Kendall and Sunset before it opens in Richmond Heights in the Palmetto Expressway. In addition, the Sunset Snapper Creek Expressway ( SR 878 ) branches off from the SR 874 toward Coral Gables from.

Toll

Since 17 July 2010, all tolls electronically ( SunPass ) are collected. Toll bridges exist at both ends of the route, as well as northeast of the junction of State Road 990 in Kendall. History

Construction on the road began in 1971, while the first five miles to the southwest in 1973 and the remaining two miles on 31 July 1975 were completed.
