Florida State Road 878

The Florida State Road 878 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Florida, which is locally expanded as Snapper Creek Expressway known and completely highway-like. It connects to a length of about four kilometers southwest of Miami in Miami -Dade County State Road 874 with U.S. Highway 1 The road is operated by the Miami -Dade Expressway Authority.

Route

The SR 878 branches in Sunset on the Don Shula Expressway ( SR 874) to the west, crossing the State Road 973 at a first connection point where it reaches the border to Glenvar Heights. Then they crossed the Palmetto Expressway ( SR 826 ) with no connection to then cross the SW 72nd Avenue at a second connection point and eventually lead to U.S. Highway 1.

Toll

Tolls are collected electronically from July 17, 2010. The expressway has west and east of State Road 973 each a toll bridge, to be collected at the two-way $ 0.40 each ( $ .25 with SunPass ).

History

The construction of the line began in 1971; in 1980 it was finally completed after five years late.
