Florin Prunea

Florin Prunea ( born August 8, 1968 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian football goalkeeper and current sports director. He played a total of 374 games in Divizia A, Süper Lig, the A Grupa and the Alpha Ethniki. He also took part in the Football World Cup 1994, the UEFA European Football Championship in 1996, the Football World Cup in 1998 and the European Football Championship 2000.

Career

Although Florin Prunea spent his childhood near the Ghencea stadium, he did not begin his career at Steaua Bucharest but at Dinamo Bucharest. There, he played on 31 May 1986 in the 0-5 home defeat against Sportul Studenţesc his first game in Divizia A. Because he did not it past at Dinamo on the status of the substitute goalkeeper, he moved in 1988 to league rivals Universitatea Cluj. There he made ​​his breakthrough.
