Florin Tene

Alexandru Florin Tene ( born November 10, 1968 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian football player and current coach. The goalkeeper played 285 games in the Romanian Divizia A and the Turkish Süper Lig with Dinamo Bucharest, he won the Romanian Cup in 1992. As a national player, he was in the squad for the 1996 European Championships in England. Since summer 2013 he is goalkeeping coach at Steaua Bucharest.

Career as a player

The career of Tene began on 18 June 1987, when he first came to use for his club Dinamo Bucharest in the first Romanian League, the Divizia A. He then moved for a year to second division Autobuzul Bucharest. In 1988 he joined Erstlist Flacara Moreni, with which he was able to finish the 1988/89 season and qualify for the UEFA Cup. In the following season he became the master force, had to finish the season but stay with his team. He left the club in the summer of 1990 to Gloria Bistrita climber. Also in Bistrita, he was the number one goal and finished the season 1990/91 on the fifth place.

In autumn 1991 Tene Gloria left and moved to Dinamo Bucharest. There he won the championship in 1992 with his first title. In the following season he lost his place to Florin Prunea and returned in early 1993 back to Gloria. There he completed the 1992/93 season from the qualification for the UEFA Cup and won with his team a year later the Romanian Cup. In summer 1994, he joined again Dinamo Bucharest, but could not prevail over this time Prunea. In early 1996, he moved to local rivals Rapid Bucharest.

In the summer of 1997, Tene decided on a move abroad, when he hired the Turkish first division club Karabükspor. After ten missions he returned in the summer of 1998 back to Romania, where it took the reigning champions Steaua Bucharest under contract. A year later he moved to newly promoted AS Rocar Bucharest, before half a year later FC Arges Pitesti rival league signed him. After another season at Dinamo Bucharest, where he came just five appearances for, he ended his active career in the summer of 2001.

National

Tene was first nominated by the then national coach Cornel Dinu in August 1992 for a friendly game of the Romanian national team against Mexico. At 2-0, he came over 90 minutes to use. In early 1993, he came on a trip to America to two other stakes.

When he was three years no longer come to the course, he returned to the circle of the national team in March 1996. In a friendly match against Yugoslavia, he came on in the closing stages for Florin Prunea. Later Tene was nominated by coach Anghel Iordănescu for his squad for the European Championship in England in 1996, did not come as number three behind Prunea and Bogdan Stelea however used. On August 14, 1996, he came to Israel for his last of six international appearances.

Career as a coach

After the end of his active career Tene worked as a football coach. From September 2009 until the end of the 2009/10 season, he oversaw CS Otopeni in the League II in early November 2010, he was the successor of Viorel Moldovan head coach of first division Sportul Studenţesc. After just one win from eight games he was released in March 2011 and replaced by Gheorghe Mulţescu. End of May 2012, he was goalkeeper coach Mircea Rednic at Petrolul Ploieşti. After his move to Standard Liege in October 2012 it was taken over by successor Cosmin Contra, before he was given the opportunity in January 2013 to work in the same position under Cornel Ţălnar at his former club Dinamo Bucharest. After the dismissal of Ţălnar he left Dinamo in June 2013 and was a few weeks later, goalkeeper coach Laurentiu Reghecampf at Steaua Bucharest.
