Floris IV, Count of Holland

Florens ( Floris ) IV of Holland- Zeeland (* June 24, 1210; † July 13, 1234 ) was Count of Holland and Zeeland (Zeeland).

Life

He was the son of Count William I (* 1174, † February 4, 1222 ) and Adelaide of Geldern ( * 1180).

Florens IV was in 1222 succeeded his father under the guardianship of his uncle. He conquered in some battles the areas of Zeeland Flanders back and short term even the so-called Kingdom of Flanders. For Zealand but he still had to acknowledge the sovereignty of Flanders.
