Floyd Davis

Floyd Eldon Davis ( born March 5, 1909 in Oakford, Illinois, † May 31, 1977 in Indianapolis ) was an American race car driver.

Floyd Davis to have won out in 1941 without a single mile, the 500-mile race at Indianapolis. Davis went to the team of Lou Moore at the start and be much faster teammate Mauri Rose had problems after 60 laps with the spark of his Maserati and had to abandon the race. After 72 laps Rose took over the bet Roth- Offenhauser Davis and drove it to a clear victory.

Davis gave his debut at the 1937 500 - mile race and had a total of four times at the start. His best finish driving alone was the 15th rank 1937.
