The Flumendosa about 122 km the second longest river in Sardinia. It rises in the south-eastern Gennargentu Mountains and flows between Muravera and Villaputzu into the sea. Was at this river mouth, according to the directions " Itinerarium Antonini " from the 3rd century BC, the Phoenician city " Sarcapos " (Roman: " Saeprus ").
