Company History

The company was founded in 1890 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin under the name Rudolph fluorine & Brothers. In 1924 the company name to Fluor Brothers Construction Company. In the 1920s, the company acquired experience in the oil and gas market and was in the following years to a big player in the construction of oil refineries.

In the 1940s, the company built refineries in Canada, Venezuela and Saudi Arabia, and began after the second world war with the construction of nuclear power plants and built for the U.S. Air Force at the Dhahran Air Base.

In the 1960s, the company built oil refineries in South Korea, specializing in the offshore sector. In the following decade Fluor Corporation acquired the company Daniel International Corporation and changed the company name to Fluor Daniel. In the 1990s, the company ADP and Marshall Contractors were acquired.
