Flurstedt is a district of the country village of Bad Sulza the north-east of the circle of Weimar.
Location
The village is situated in the Ilm valley between Flurstedt Apolda and Bad Sulza. South of the town leads past the railway line Weimar- Naumburg. On the southern edge of the Thuringian Basin lying, owns the village both in the Ilmaue as well as in the other layers very good arable soils, which are broken up by green gullies. The country road in 1060 of Apolda Coming leads to Bad Sulza through the town.
History
In a document from the year 1052 Emperor Henry II granted jurisdiction over " Flogerstette " the cathedral chapter of Naumburg. Later, the name of the town changed over Vlorstete, Flori Constant and Vlurstete to its present form. From the beginning of the 19th century was the place part of the Grand Duchy of Saxe -Weimar- Eisenach and after 1945 with the State of Thuringia part of the Soviet occupation zone and the GDR. since 1990, is one of the place to the newly established state of Thuringia.
On 31 December 2012, the municipality Flurstedt was incorporated together with other churches in the town of Bad Sulza.
