Fluvial

Fluvial (Latin for river belonging ) means that an object or a condition caused by flowing water or associated with context.

For example, if erosion can be attributed to the effect of rivers, one speaks of fluvial erosion. The process of deposition by rivers at their base or shore is called fluvia (ti) le sedimentation. Outweighs this process the simultaneous general erosion, one speaks of aggradation. Fluvial sediments are caused by fluvial sedimentation deposits.

A flow activity is referred to in connection with glaciers as fluvioglazial - see also glacial.
