Fluvio-glacial

Glacier milk or milk of the glacier called the gray or white turbid runoff water of a glacier. The turbidity arises by means of the transport finely ground rock in the water.

Where this rock flour in a quiet, standing waters ( lakes), it accumulates in them. When sunlight hits this suspension, are reflected from the rock flour especially the blue-green portions of the light, so that such lakes (eg, the Peyto Lake or Lake Louise ) floor dark turquoise.
