Fly Hellas

Fly Hellas (also Viking Hellas ) was a Greek airline based in Athens and based on the Airport Athens Eleftherios Venizelos.

History

Viking Hellas was founded in October 2009 and started operations in February of 2010. She was until spring 2011, a subsidiary in the meantime insolvent Swedish Viking Airlines. To May 1, 2011 Viking Hellas named their charter division into Fly Hellas, the flight line area retained the old name.

On 2 November 2011, the airline announced that all scheduled for November flights are canceled after 100 passengers protested in Birmingham already on 28 October with a sit-in protest against the cancellation of their flight. On 5 December 2011 were finally announced that operations will not be resumed and the aircraft were returned to the lessor.

Objectives

Viking Hellas joined mainly Iraqi targets Baghdad, Erbil and Sulaymaniyah with Athens and Manchester.
