Fly Pan Am
Fly Pan Am ( also Le Fly Pan Am) are a Canadian band, which is mainly associated with the post-rock and experimental rock.
History
Fly Pan Am in 1996 by Jonathan Parant (guitar), Roger Tellier - Craig (guitar), Felix Morel (drums ) and Jean- Sebastian Truchy ( bass) in Montreal, Quebec founded. 2002 also met Eric Gingras (guitar, percussion) added. As with many bands from the Montreal post-rock scene, there is also at Fly Pan Am connections to Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Guitarist Roger Tellier - Graig was until 2003 a member of GY BE! ; he resigned from in order to fully devote Fly Pan Am can.
Are influenced Fly Pan Am mainly by the French-Canadian scene Montreal. So albums and song titles are often French, and the lyrics are written in this language.
The band released three albums and an EP, all on Constellation Records. After the tour for the third album Fly Pan Am announced a hiatus. The members of the band are currently involved in other projects and there has been no evidence of a resumption of work on Fly Pan Am.
