Fly!

Fly! is developed by Terminal Reality and published by Gathering of Developers in 1999 flight simulation for Windows and Macintosh PCs, who distinguished himself by his detailed cockpit instrumentation and the detailed simulation of aircraft systems.

Description

Fly was developed as a competitor to the then current market leader Microsoft Flight Simulator 98. The graphics, the scope and realism of Fly should be significantly better. Terminal Reality did for Christmas 1999, however, a hasty afflicted with many errors, unstable version of the simulator on the market. Although Terminal Reality and responded almost simultaneously with the appearance of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 in the fall of 1999 brought out a patch that removed the main fault, but the trust of the customers could not be recovered.

This was followed by a new edition under the name Fly! 2K, which was a patched Fly! Version, which was resolved with an additional scenery CD.

The significantly improved version of Fly! II could no longer compete with Microsoft's competitors. The version ended up very quickly to the Wühltischen and soon disappeared from the market. Due to the death of the chief developer Richard Harvey and the lack of success of the Fly! - Series development was stopped.

For some time, from a small community of open source developers working on an add- on called Fly! Worked Legacy. It is the Fly! 2 Replace the main program ( exe) and remain totally compatible with earlier versions, scenery, aircraft etc..
