History

Flyers Ice Hockey Club, was founded in 2006 on the occasion of the founding of the Irish Ice Hockey League ( IIHL ) by Keith Daly and Brian Clery, two Irish hockey players who have been involved for over 20 years in the Irish Hockey. The Flyers were one of five teams and were coached by Keith Daly.

Your first friendship Game of the team on 25 March 2007, which they lost 1-2 against the Northern Ireland Prowlers. The only goal scored by Gerry ( " Fifth Gear " ) Duffy. Flyers 'B'

The Flyers 'B' team entered the second Irish League ' Irish Ice Hockey Development Devision ' to ( IIHL DD) between 2008 and 2010. The first competitive match took place on 5 October 2008 against Drogheda Ice Breakers 2 and was won with 3-0. The goals were scored by Michael Mandsfeld and Brian Clery.

Dundalk closure

The closure of the Dundalk Ice Dome in May 2011 marked the end of the Irish Ice Hockey League and Irish Ice Hockey Development Devision.

Inline Hockey

In 2011, Flyers Ice Hockey Inline Hockey Club started to play. Your first friendship Game of the team on 20 October 2011 compared Dublin Riots, which was lost with x -2. Both goals were scored by Barry Higgins.

Junior flyers

The junior team was founded in April 2012 as the new Santry Ice Arena was opened. After the arena was closed after just two months, the Juniors currently play inline hockey.
