Flyglobespan
Flyglobespan was a British scheduled and charter airline based in Edinburgh.
History
Flyglobespan was in 2002 as a subsidiary of Globespan Plc. founded.
On December 16, 2009, it provided for financial reasons, a flight operations and has since been in receivership. The insolvency of the company was caused by British press reports, principally by the fact that the payment processor E -Clear was holding back at least £ 36 million of collateral. The search for these missing funds was initially unsuccessful.
Objectives
Flyglobespan flew mainly in the Mediterranean region, mainly to Spain, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus. Moreover, even were various destinations in North America, including Canada and Florida operated.
Fleet
Before the air operation, the fleet consisted of Flyglobespan at December 2009, nine aircraft:
- 2 Boeing 737-700
- 3 Boeing 737-800
- 4 Boeing 767 -300ER
- 2 Boeing 787-8 (factory originally planned for 2010 )
