FMN adenylyltransferase

FAD synthetase (also FMN adenylyltransferase, Gene: FLAD1 ) is the enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of flavin mononucleotide (FMN) in flavin adenine dinucleotide ( FAD). It is therefore essential for the recovery of riboflavin (vitamin B2 ), since this exerts only as FAD functions in metabolism. The FAD synthetase is found in most animals before ( Bilateria ). In humans, five isoforms of the enzyme are known.

Catalyzed reaction

ATP PPi

A Adenylylrest is transferred from ATP to FMN and FAD arises and diphosphate.
