Fogars de la Selva

Fogars de la Selva is a Catalan municipality in the province of Barcelona, in northeastern Spain. It is located in the comarca of Selva.

Geography

Fogars de la Selva, in the province of Barcelona, ​​about 40 km south of Girona and 68 km northeast of Barcelona in the Autonomous Community of Catalonia. It is the only municipality in the comarca of La Selva, which is part of the province of Barcelona.

History

Former name of the municipality were: fogás y Ramino (1842 ), fogás de Tordera ( 1857-1981 ) and Fogars de Tordera ( 1991).
