Föhr-Land

The Office Foehr country had an office on the island of Foehr in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein. The Office included all municipalities of the island outside the city Wyk and had 4200 inhabitants 75 km ² area.

History

The Office was formed in 1970 with the formation of the district of North Friesland from the communities of the offices Osterlandföhr and Westerlandföhr. The municipality was incorporated into Goting Nieblum and Oldsum - Klintum and Toftum merged to community Oldsum.

Seat of the official administration was originally Midlum. In August 2006, the county seat was moved because of the looming merger in the city Wyk. The office was then dissolved in the reform of administrative structures in Schleswig -Holstein on 31 December 2006. Together with Wyk and the three municipalities of the neighboring island of Fohr Amrum Amrum the Office was formed on 1 January 2007.
