Folcmar (bishop)

Folkmar of Utrecht (short: Bobbo, Popo, Poppo ) ( † December 11 990 ) was from 976 bishop of Utrecht.

His father was the Count Palatine of Saxony Adalbero.

He belonged to the Hildesheim cathedral chapter. His nephew Bernward he sent there in the cathedral school.

975 he became Chancellor of Emperor Otto II, 976 elevated him to bishop. 977/78, he was guarding Henry the Wrangler and Egberts the one-eyed man, entrusted after her failed attempt at rebellion in Utrecht.
