Folies

Folies ( Picard: Foulies ) is a northern French village with 129 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, in the canton of Rosières -en- Santerre and is part of the Communauté de communes du Santerre.

Geography

The church in the countryside Santerre lies about 7 km south of Rosières -en- Santerre at the department road D329 extends ish in the south to the generously -developed Territory road D934 (formerly Route nationale 334) from Amiens to Noyon, in the north to the department of road D161 and in the east to the department of road D131.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
