Folleville (Somme)

Folleville is a commune with 149 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region.

Folleville located about 25 km south of Amiens, in the valley of the Noye.

The parish church of Saint -Jean -Baptiste is awarded since 1998 as part of the World Heritage Site by UNESCO " Camino de Santiago in France." It consists of two clearly distinct components. The ship - rededicated after a renovation in the late 15th century in 1522 - is dedicated to the Apostle James, the much larger choir was built 1512-1518 as a stately chapel and bears the name of John the Baptist.

On one of the pillars in the nave a James statue is attached. In the choir, is a building designed by Antonio della Porta and Pacce Gaggini tomb.

Above the village is a ruined castle dating from the 14th century.
