Folly Iceland is a small island and subarctic part of belonging to New Zealand Campbell Islands.
In an exploration of the island in 1976 they found rats and " possibly the only virgin stock of Chionochloa antarctica " ( a tuft of grass) in the area. It was also looking for arthropods, but there was only one type of Weta found.
The island is one of the five recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage subarctic island groups.
