Folwark, Opole Voivodeship

Follwark (Polish Folwark ) is a village in Upper Silesia. Follwark belongs to the municipality Proskau ( Prószków ) in Opolski powiat (district Opole ) in the Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location

Follwark is located six kilometers northeast of the municipal center Proskau and six kilometers south of the county town of Opole voivodship and ( Opole ). In the east, the village of the Oder flows.

Neighboring towns of Follwark in the West Gorek ( Gorki ), in the north Winau ( winow ), to the east Groschowitz ( Groszowice ) and in the south Chrzowitz ( Chrzowice ).

History

For the first time the village was mentioned in 1295 as Vorwerk. Between 1936-1945 was the village of Vorwerk. In Follwark are chapels and crosses from the 17th and 18th centuries.
