Fontlab

Fontlab is an outline font editing program of the company of the same name. It is comparable with Fontographer and Font Forge. It is thus possible to make your own fonts in PostScript, TrueType, OpenType and various other formats and edit.

TrueType

FontLab provides a simplified way to edit the otherwise rather complex TrueType Instructions with Visual TrueType hints. Visual TrueType hints, however, allow only limited access to the opportunities offered by the Instructions. There is also no way to edit AAT features.

Python

The program is characterized, inter alia, to can be controlled by its Python interface over almost all aspects of font creation. So is directly in the program a window to the Python programming and a toolbar to manage created Python scripts.

Multiple Master

While FontLab knows the interpolating along several axes allowed per axle but only two master sections.
