FontShop

The FontShop AG is a mail order specialist for digital typefaces and organizer of design conferences based in Berlin Kreuzberg. In 1989 the trading house of Joan and Erik Spiekermann was founded. Starting from the parent company FSI FontShop International FontShop originated in Australia, Belgium, Canada, England, France, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria and the USA.

The selection of fonts, graphics software and accessories appeals to all people who make professional on computers with fonts: graphic design, book design, advertising and corporate communications.

The Corporate Division Corporate Font supervised the technical implementation of corporate design guidelines for businesses, media companies and agencies. These include the creation of exclusive typeface, the modification of fonts, the installation of corporate logos in character sets that improve the screen display of fonts and other optimizations.

Since 1995 FontShop held in Berlin on the annual typography and design conference TYPO Berlin. Speakers include internationally renowned graphic design experts. Since 2011 TYPO also take place in London and San Francisco conferences talks next to Berlin.

To join the approximately 30 employees in Berlin directly at the company's profit in 2001 was a transformation into a "little Ltd".
