Football Against Racism in Europe

Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE ) was founded by football associations and players' unions in February 1999 at the suggestion of fan groups from different parts of Europe in Vienna with the participation, among others. At a conference was an attempt to develop a common strategy and a policy statement against racism and xenophobia. This led to both the organization " Football Against Racism in Europe " (FARE ) - a network of groups from 13 European countries - as well as an action plan.

Task

FARE want the " beautiful game " Football without the "disease " of racism can be played. The FARE network has set itself the task of combating racism and xenophobia in football across Europe. Through coordinated action and joint efforts at local and national level FARE intends to bring together all those who are interested to take action against discrimination in football.

FARE works with FIFA and UEFA, as well as numerous national football associations.
