Football at the 1971 South Pacific Games

In the South Pacific Games IV in 1971 in Tahiti, a competition was held in football. At six teams participated in this tournament. All matches were played in the period from 1 to 5 September 1971 in Papeete. It was played in two groups of three teams. The respective first and second runners qualified for the semifinals. The third group were still playing in addition to fifth place.

New Caledonia won the tournament for the third time the South Pacific.
