Footballers 'Wives (actually Footballers' Wive $ ) is a British television series.
The television series is produced by Shed Productions. The drama revolves around the fictional football club Earls Park Football Club ( Sparks ). A total of five seasons were filmed with a total of 42 episodes. The first and second season consist of eight episodes, the third and fourth of each nine. The fifth and final season has eight episodes again. A sequence takes about 45 minutes.
Action
First Season
The series starts with the footballer Ian Walmsley, who gets offered a place in Earls Park football team. Meanwhile, his wife Donna Walmsey begins the search for her son, whom she had given up for adoption nine years ago. Donna's half-sister Marie comes from Bolton to visit, to live with Ian and Donna and begins an affair with the married with the TV journalist Tanya Turner football team captain Jason Turner, to which it has for years had an eye. Tanya did not notice because of their professional work, first the secret affair of her husband.
The famous glamor model Chardonnay Lane and the football player Kyle Pascoe plan their wedding, although Kylie with his future mother in law Jackie secretly had an affair. As the football team with the Italian midfielder Salvatore Biagi get a newcomer, Ian Walmsley and his wife worry about the future career of Ian. With a team party there will be a big row between the Turners and the club chairman, Frank Laslett, who falls into a coma. A car accident involving a drunken Frank is simulated by the Turners ...
