For the Sake of Revenge is a 2006 released a live CD and live DVD of the Finnish power metal band Sonata Arctica. The recordings took place on 5 February 2005 at Shibuya AX in Tokyo.

Recording

The CD and the DVD include a recorded concert of the band in Tokyo on 5 February 2005. During the DVD contains a complete recording of the concert, are on the CD sixteen selected tracks that were played during the concert. On the Japanese edition is also located yet San Sebastian as a bonus track.

On the DVD are inserted Sing in Silence / The End of this Chapter and San Sebastian as the thirteenth and fourteenth track. Finally there is a background mix about staying in Tokyo in the Tools section of the DVD.

Changes to the studio albums

In this live performance, there are some amendments to the text or to tune on the album:

• Tony Kakko sings the first four lines Black Sheep different.
• In Kingdom for a Heart, the band plays a few verses of "Letter to Dana ".
• Full Moon ends with the theme of "White Pearl, Black Oceans ".
• The band plays the last chorus of the Cage lot slower and longer; this then leads directly into the traditionally at the end of the concert sung the praises of vodka.
