Foramen spinosum

The foramen spinosum is a small hole in both humans and predators in the skull base. It is located in the rear part of the great wing of the sphenoid and into the middle cranial fossa ( fossa media).

Through the foramen spinosum pull the vein and the middle meningeal artery, accompanying them sympathetic nerve fibers and decreased the Hirnhautast ( Ramus meningeus ) of the mandibular nerve.
