Forces Nouvelles de Côte d'Ivoire

The Forces Nouvelles de Côte d' Ivoire ( German: New forces) short FN or FNCI were a rebel coalition of the Ivory Coast.

History

The FN formed between December 2002 and early 2003, during the Civil War from 2002 to 2007, from the groups Patriotic Movement of Côte d' Ivoire ( MPCI ), Mouvement populaire du Grand Ouest ivoirien ( MPIGO ) and the Mouvement pour la justice et la paix ( MJP ) under the leadership of Guillaume Soro. They dominate since the northern half of the country (as of March 2011).

The FN support the government of Alassane Ouattara in the government crisis in 2010 /2011. Under the command of Ibrahim Coulibaly fought their relatives as " Commando invisible" ( German, invisible commandos ') in Abobo against units of Laurent Gbagbo.

The FN announced in early March 2011, the Armistice of 2007, Laurent Gbagbo and conquered the city on March 7 Toulepleu.

They went on 17 March 2011 on the Forces Républicaines de Côte d' Ivoire newly founded, formed the future armed forces of the Ivory Coast, according to Alassane Ouattara.
