The upper door guide rail was run under the side when pulled forward rear light, not to create a visually disruptive impact on the sidelines.

These are front and side airbags for driver and front passenger, a knee airbag for the driver as well as head and shoulder airbags front and rear.

The car is available with an Active City Stop. This is a system 100 times a second the distance difference and the speed measured for the preceding vehicle at a speed of less than 30 km / h by means of a mounted adjacent to the interior mirror infrared sensor. Calculated from the system, which in an emergency deceleration is required to avoid a collision. If the vehicle ahead slowing down, the system initiates a self- braking action if the driver should not react. In addition, a Hill Start Assist is available that supports the safe hill starts by delaying the roll-back of the vehicle.

In a EuroNCAP crash test in the summer 2012, the B -Max scored five stars and 92 % for occupant protection.
