Ford EcoBoost 200

The Ford 200 is currently the season finale of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. It takes place at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead southwest of Miami, in the U.S. state of Florida.

For the first time the race was held in 1996. From 1996 to 2001, there was a distance of about 250 miles to deny. The numbers in the name of the race (Florida Dodge Dealers 400 Florida Dodge Dealers and 400K ) were available for the number of kilometers to be overcome. Until 2001 the race was held early in the season.

In 2002, the race was shortened to 200 miles, and has since the season finale of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Ford has sponsored since 2002, the season finale in all three top divisions of NASCAR:

  • The Ford 400 in the Sprint Cup Series
  • The Ford 300 in the Nationwide Series
  • The Ford 200 in the Craftsman Truck Series

These races all take place on a weekend at Homestead -Miami Speedway and belong to Ford Championship Weekend. The numbers in the name of the race are in all cases to the distance to be traveled in miles.

In the years 2003 and 2007, the one who was leading Weekend points before the Championship, lost the championship in this, the last race of the season nor the championship lead. Brendan Gaughan had to retire prematurely because of an accident at the Ford 200 in 2003, and was thus in the last race of the season points lead to Travis Kvapil from. In the 2007 season, it also met Mike Skinner. He was due to tire problems only 35 and gave his lead in the overall standings to Ron Hornaday Jr. from after he has almost all season long led the drivers' championship.

In the years 1999 and 2007 there was a Green- White- Checkered finish.
