Foreign Intelligence Service (Romania)

The Serviciul de Informaţii External ( German External Intelligence Service ), official abbreviation YOU, is one of the foreign intelligence services of Romania.

Tasks

The DO is a civil and professional intelligence. Unlike a news service whose task is the pure extraction of secret information, belonging to the SIE tasks not only espionage, obtaining and analyzing information about foreign governments, organizations and individuals in order to the various branches of the U.S. government available provide, but also covert operations abroad. Not infrequently, the YOU served, as well as other intelligence agencies, the disinformation and illegal means to influence international policy, public opinion and the representatives of Romania.
