Foresight Institute Feynman Prize in Nanotechnology

The Feynman Prize in Nanotechnology is one of the Foresight Institute in Palo Alto since 1993 prize for nanotechnology and nanoscience. He was first awarded every two years, every year since 1997.

It is named after Richard Feynman, whose lecture There is plenty of room at the bottom of 1959 often regarded as visionary anticipation of the nanotechnology revolution. The prize is worth $ 5,000 and is awarded in the categories of experiment and theory.

Founded by Eric Drexler in 1986 Foresight Institute is a non-profit organization for the promotion of nanoscience. She also praises a great price of $ 250,000 for each of the first person who realizes a nano robot arm with precise control and an 8 -bit adder at the nanoscale.
