Forest (French ) or Vorst (Dutch ) is one of 19 municipalities of the Brussels- Capital Region in Belgium.
The municipality has 53 312 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2012) and is 6.3 km ². Forest / Vorst located in the southwest of the capital, bordering the municipalities in Brussels Anderlecht, Saint-Gilles, Ixelles / Elsene and Uccle / Ukkel, as well as to the Flemish community Drogenbos.
In Forest / Vorst are two large parks ( Parc de Forest / Park van Vorst and Parque de Duden / Duden Park ), the Abbey of St. Dionys and Audi factory.
The area north of the center ( the town hall ) and between the elongated industrial area and the two parks, is a multicultural neighborhood problem.
