Forever Young is the debut album of the German synthpop group Alphaville, which was released on September 27, 1984 by Warner Music Group.

Background

The album was certified influences of Roxy Music and Kraftwerk. It was produced by Andreas Budde, Wolfgang Loos and Colin Pearson and mixed by Wolfgang Loos. Ken Taylor played bass, Curt Cress drums and percussion.

The publication in September 1984 already walked the two single releases Big ahead in Japan and Sounds Like a Melody before Forever Young was coupled to the release date. The record sold about two million copies. The album Forever Young reached the Top 20 in six European countries, in two of which, Norway and Sweden Platz 1, in the U.S., it could, however, prove only accommodate 180.
