Forgandenny

Forgandenny (Gaelic: Forgrann Eithne ) is a small village in the Scottish Unitary Authority of Perth and Kinross. It is located about 1.5 kilometers south of the River Earn about 6 km southwest of Perth and 35 km north-east of Stirling.

Between 1890 and 1928, the nationally important whiskey distillery Stronachie was operated at Forgandenny.

Traffic

About five kilometers east of the village passes the M90 which connects Perth with Edinburgh. The A9 runs about four miles northwest. It leads to Thurso in Caithness in northern Scotland. Forgandenny itself has no railway station. The the nearby Perth train station is, however remote traffic stop.
