Manifestations

As a rule, give short forms text boxes (for example, "Last Name ", " first name ", " address" ) and single ( for example, " Married: yes / no") or multiple selection fields before.

Forms simplify the collection of mass data, ensure completeness and protect against any possible ambiguities that can occur with free choice of words, or, for example, an informal request. Therefore, forms are often used by authorities to externalize the acquisition process and to make legally precise.

Due to the continuous establishment of the electronic signature, more and more electronic forms are replacing their printed versions. The advantage is, in particular, that processes / management programs can be completed entirely web-based. Binding to opening times and transport routes eliminated. Furthermore, the data can be transferred efficiently in specialized procedures, which can be achieved cost reductions and processing acceleration. Modern forms have their tag structure to access the aids for the blind and visually impaired. Using screen readers and Braille displays can this group independently navigate through the documents.

In addition, the authorities term form or form will be used.

History

End of the 7th century was published the first form book entitled Marculfi Formulae. The forma (Latin ) contained therein were made templates for certificates, in the only name, date and location information had to be used. The form book was used in the Frankish Empire and influenced later, comparable collections.
