Form of life (philosophy)

The term " form of life " became since the Philosophical Investigations (1953 ) by Ludwig Wittgenstein become a much discussed term in philosophy. He called there the entire set of practices or actions that are carried out by a community. It is the template or pattern according to which the members of this community make their lives and give them for their life orientation. The totality of these patterns give different expressions of life as it were a form.

Life forms include not justified and not justifiable basis on which the various language games get their meaning. Thus, for example, " ask questions ", " doubt cherish ", " give orders " or " making donations " in a framework of practices take place, which in turn are accepted without question.
