Formation
Formation is derived from Latin and stands for formation of a shape or configuration and setup. In some fields, the word has special meanings:
- In geology, it denotes easily recognizable layers or typical rock body an epoch of Earth's history, see Formation ( geology).
- In military affairs a certain size or arrangement of troops units, see Formation ( military ).
- In the military, a specific statement of the troops, see battle formation.
- In aircraft, a geometric arrangement of fighter aircraft, but also scales in aerobatics, formation flying see.
- For migratory birds, a geometric arrangement of flying birds, see V - formation.
- In biology, plant society of similar growth habit ( without further indication of the species), eg deciduous forest, meadow; see plant formation.
- In dance, a team sport, which operates formation dance.
- A team in the boules.
- In music, a music group formed from two members of a formation. ( See also Act, Combo, Band, Ensemble. )
- In the Roman Catholic Church so that means a spiritual- intellectual (Off ) education of future religious.
- During the manufacture of electrodes for lead-acid batteries, they called for an initial charge
- In the manufacture of paper it means the sheet formation
