Taiwanese Black Bear (Ursus thibetanus formosanus )

The Taiwanese Black Bear (Ursus thibetanus formosanus ) is a subspecies of the Asiatic black bear (Ursus thibetanus ). The Taiwanese Black Bear is native to Taiwan and adjacent to the Sambar there the largest wild animal and the only bear style on the island. He thinks he's usually in the mountain forests on covering the eastern two- thirds of the island. It is usually seen in 1000 to 3500 meters above sea level.

The Taiwanese Black Bear is an omnivore. The bulk of its food form leaves, buds, fruit, roots, insects and small animals. On occasion, he also eats carrion. Black bears are solitary and roam far. Only the females are site faithful during the rearing of the young.
