The Taiwan dog is a provisionally accepted by the FCI breed of dog from Taiwan ( provisionally # 348, Group 5, Section 7).

Origin and History

A study of living on Taiwan dogs showed in 1980 that there were no known breed of dogs on the island nor any of the science that has been assigned to the pariah dogs below. The dog is at home here since time immemorial and served the native population as a hunting dog.

Description

The Taiwan dog is a typical representative of the pariah dogs, with a triangular head, medium in size and crescent tail. With a weight of up to 16 kg, it should reach a height of 52 cm. His hair is close fitting, this short and hard, in many colors such as black, brindle, fawn, white, white and black, white and fawn, white and brindle.
